I am aware I am behind on my communication with you about our continued partnership… my apologies. We have made contact with the Rev. Michelle Slater of Oak Bay United Church, and Doug will be communicating with her next week about next steps. So that is one encouragement. They are honoured to be in a partnership with Rev. Lee’s congregation. And I think that you and the Rev. Will Sparks have also been pursuing a partnership of congregations. That is very good.

I also want to reach out with a sense of wonder and hopefulness, at today's news coming out of the talks between your president’s delegation and the North Korean officials. Wow! can this be happening? (We will see what Mr. Trump contributes to the story…)

Your churches must be very interested to see how this progresses. Know that we in BC Conference — soon to become “Region 1” (we’ll need a better name) — are praying in solidarity with you all for peace between the Koreas and nuclear disarmament for the peninsula.

You continue to be in our prayers, as I trust we are in yours… I think your Presbytery is meeting very soon. May God bless your work together in Jesus’ name.
